During every Art Unit you're given this year, you will need to navigate through a variety of Artistic Behaviors to demonstrate both the thinking and doing that goes into making an artwork. Below is the general HCPSS version, but each unit will be broken down into more specific criteria to help you determine how to achieve each.
Idea Generation:Applies strategies to generate a variety of solutions to a given art problem. Design/Organization:Organizes ideas through the use of compositional / formal strategies and materials. Personal choice-making and meaning:Uses best practices and experiences to inform and develop an authentic voice. Craftsmanship:Employs media strategies, techniques and processes to insure the quality and the final presentation of completed assignment. Studio Skills & Practices:Demonstrates artistic behaviors in the studio environment: perseverance of task, appropriate use of tools and materials, and respect for others and their work. Reflection/Responding:Communicates an understanding of concepts and strategies, personal choices, through the evaluation of artworks. |
