Students will apply what they've learned about contour line to draw their hand in a foreshortened position.
They will also use the elements of art, VALUE (the range of light to dark) to imply FORM (an object that has 3-dimensions) by erasing highlights that they observe as well as by adding shadows with a 6B(soft lead) pencil on a shaded graphite ground.
Lastly, students will use tint and shade to IMPLY LINE rather than outline to define the edges of their hand and create a more realistic effect.
